Why this heated display earns its place
The Designline assisted-service display is engineered for maximum food visibility and operator control. Unlike self-service displays, this one has a tilting front glass panel that opens on a locking hinge, giving staff quick access for restocking without breaking the thermal seal or leaving the display open to room temperature. The stainless steel heated well holds four 1/1 gastronorm containers, and above it sits an adjustable heated midshelf at eye level, offering a second hot-merchandising tier perfect for smaller items: individual pastries, plated portions, or specialty products that benefit from height and visibility.
Heat comes from infrared quartz lamps mounted in the elliptical gantry—from above, at midshelf level, and underneath via modular heater mats in the well. Base heat and surface heat are independently adjustable, and the unit maintains a factory-set 85 °C core temperature to meet food safety standards. The digital display and dimmer switches sit on the operator side at eye level, giving staff full control without leaning over product or past customers. Temperature locks in place once set, preventing drift during service.
The premium elliptical curved profile is signature CED design. Full-height curved, toughened glass wraps the front and sides, creating a visual frame that elevates the display. The tilting front glass is a practical feature: restocking becomes a quick operation during busy service, and cleaning is straightforward—the glass tilts open, and the stainless steel well surface wipes clean easily. This is particularly valuable when dealing with pastry residue or spills. The unit is drop-in: it sits into a pre-formed countertop cutout and arrives with a lifting kit for installation. A concealed control box and 2 m flexible conduit are supplied for hard-wiring to a 20 A 3.8 kW supply. It runs 24 hours continuously.
