THE WORKING VIEW

Why this heat lamps & quartz heater earns its place

Overhead warmers are a quick, low-footprint way to add hot-food merchandising to your counter. This 1000mm model is the smaller sibling to full-length versions – perfect if your counter is modest, or if you want to heat just one section (cooked meats, pastries, soup cups, fresh-baked bread).

Three ceramic heaters, each 250W, are spaced to deliver even coverage across the width. Ceramic elements warm quickly and radiate stable heat – not the intense blitz of an infrared lamp, but steady, gentle warmth that keeps food hot without overdrying or browning it. The slim 90mm profile (shallower than a dinner plate) keeps sightlines clear and doesn't monopolise your counter.

At just 3 kg, this is lightweight enough to mount on most suspended rails or wall brackets. The stainless-steel construction is food-safe, durable, and wipes clean in seconds – no complex disassembly, no special tools. It's the kind of simple, reliable equipment that you install and then forget about.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Ceramic heaters radiate steady, even heat. They're gentler than infrared lamps – food stays warm (above 60°C, typically) without getting overcooked or dried out. Perfect for holding rather than reheating.

Yes. Ceramic heaters are designed for continuous use during service. Most models have a simple on/off switch; check your manual for any cycling or thermostatic controls. Daily switching on and off is fine – they heat up in minutes.

Ceramic elements are fast. You're usually ready to go live within 5–10 minutes of switching on.

The slim profile makes it easier than you'd think. Wipe the stainless-steel frame and the underside with a damp cloth. If you need to deep-clean or replace a heater, the manual will guide safe removal and reinstallation – or call 01792 732702 for help.

Ceramic heater elements are modular. If one fails, you can still use the other two – food will be slightly less evenly warmed, but you won't be down entirely. Contact your supplier or call 01792 732702 for a replacement element.

At roughly 750W when all heaters are running, this is one of the cheapest pieces of catering equipment to operate. Daily operating costs are typically pence, not pounds, even in a busy location.
