THE WORKING VIEW

Why this stainless steel table earns its place

This is the worktable for kitchens where space doesn't give. At 1000 mm wide and 600 mm deep, it fits into gaps between other equipment or along a shorter wall without dominating the layout. The two shelves give you proper storage underneath—sheet pans, containers, tools—without needing a separate storage unit taking up more floor space.

The shallow 600 mm depth is deliberate. It keeps the table close enough to your reach that you're not stretching across empty air, and it's forgiving in a narrow kitchen where walkways matter. Stainless steel stays pristine with a daily wipe-down; it won't harbour bacteria in deep scratches and won't rust if you're thorough with cleaning.

At 900 mm high and 43 kg, it's light enough to reposition if your kitchen layout shifts, but heavy enough to feel solid when you're working. The two shelves make this table punch above its weight in utility—for a small footprint, you get both work surface and storage.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

At 600 mm deep, you've got less leverage than a deeper table, which means you should work thoughtfully rather than aggressively. It's absolutely fit for proper prep work—chopping, mixing, plating—but it's not the table for hammering or rough handling. Treat it like the solid stainless equipment it is, and it'll last.

This is the 600 mm depth. If you need more working room, Combisteel makes the same table in 700 mm depth, which gives you an extra 100 mm of reach. Check your space first—the difference matters in a tight kitchen.

Yes. The 1000 mm width is designed for spaces where a larger table won't fit. Slide it against a wall or into a corner, and you've got a solid prep station. Make sure you can still access the shelves underneath for cleaning and storage.

You can remove the shelves if you need to deep-clean underneath, or you can clean around them with a standard cloth and detergent. Stainless steel doesn't hold onto grease or bacteria, so a wipe-down is usually enough. For a thorough clean, lift anything stored on the shelves and wipe the underside of the shelf itself.

It depends on what you're doing and your own working style. For knife work, plating, or assembly it's fine. For rolling dough or working with large items, you might feel the limitation. Most people working at this table find it perfectly adequate once they adjust their arm position and workflow.
