THE WORKING VIEW

Why this stainless steel cupboard earns its place

This is a workhorse prep table designed for kitchens that need accessible storage without the clatter of hinged doors. The sliding-door cupboard underneath gives you a full 1600 mm of work surface at 850 mm height—a standard for butchers, food producers, and catering prep areas—while keeping tools, ingredients and equipment within arm's reach. The left-hand drawer arrangement puts frequently used items exactly where your hands naturally go.

Stainless steel 430 is the commercial standard for a reason: it wipes clean in seconds, resists the splashes and spills of a working prep room, and lasts through daily washdown protocols. At 97 kg, it's solid enough to handle heavy use without rocking, yet manageable to move during a kitchen refit.

The 700 mm depth makes this table work in tighter spaces while keeping your reach efficient. No upstand means maximum flexibility—bring your own tray racks or prep vessels to the edge without obstruction. If you need the splash guard, the upstand version is there; this one gives you the open-top option.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Stainless steel 430 at this gauge is rated for standard commercial prep work—loaded mixing bowls, heavy pots, carcasses in butchery. The 97 kg frame weight reflects a solid build; if you're stacking 30 kg prep pans for hours, check with our team on 01792 732702 to confirm your exact load profile.

Daily: wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Weekly: a light stainless steel cleaner to restore shine and remove fingerprints. Avoid bleach-based sanitisers which can pit the surface over time; stick to food-safe neutral cleaners or quaternary ammonia if you need heavy sanitisation. The sliding doors seal reasonably well, so stored items stay fresher; wipe the tracks monthly to keep them running smooth.

1600 mm wide, 700 mm front to back. That's a standard depth for most prep benches—comfortable reach without excessive overhang. If your kitchen is tighter, we make a 500 mm deep version. Confirm your door access and aisle width before ordering; a 1600 mm unit needs about 1700 mm clearance when open.

This is specifically left-hand. If you need right-hand or a fully open worktop, let us know on 01792 732702; our team can advise on equivalent models or custom options.

This is a flatpack. You'll need a flat, level surface and about 45 minutes to assemble the frame, attach drawers, and slide the doors home. Level feet are critical—a 1 in 50 slope is enough to make sliding doors bind, so get your benchmark out. Standard 230 V power is not required. Once level, it stays solid.
