Why this wall shelve earns its place
This is a shelf built around one job: getting a commercial microwave, or a stack of pans, up off the worktop and onto the wall where it's out of the way but still exactly where you need it. It's made from grade 304 stainless steel at 1.2mm thickness — the same specification that goes into most commercial kitchen fabrication — so it's rated for the loads and the knocks a busy pass or prep bench dishes out, not a domestic shelf pressed into commercial service.
The fixing is properly thought through rather than an afterthought. Triangular wall brackets spread the load and give the shelf real rigidity across its 1800mm width, and two fixing holes tie it back to the wall for a secure connection — KWC DVS includes fixing instructions plus two nuts and bolts, though screws and wall plugs aren't supplied, so it's worth matching those to your wall type before fitting. There's flexibility in how it's mounted too: it can be supported from underneath as well as hung from the brackets, and a 20mm gap can be left behind the shelf if you need to route cables through to whatever's sitting on it.
At 1800mm long and 300mm deep, it's sized to take a full run of commercial microwaves or a line of pans and pots without needing to double up shelves, and at just over a kilogram it's light in itself — the strength is all in the steel gauge and the bracket design, not the weight of the shelf. A 5-year warranty backs the build.
