Why this plate trolley earns its place
Vogue built this as a vertical plate tower rather than a flat trolley, and that's the whole point of it: it holds 84 twelve-inch plates stacked upright, in a footprint of just 700 x 700mm. Anyone who's tried to store that many plates on open shelving knows how much worktop and floor space a stack that size normally eats up. Here it's contained in a single 1900mm-tall unit that stands out of the way until it's needed.
Construction is stainless steel and plastic, self-assembled on arrival, with a 200kg capacity that comfortably covers a full stack of loaded plates without the rack flexing or the base struggling. Empty, the rack itself weighs 20kg, so it's not a trivial item to shift once assembled — but that's the trade-off for a frame sturdy enough to carry a full 84-plate load service after service.
Where it earns its keep is at the two pinch points of a busy service: plate storage before the pass, and cleared-plate collection after it. Vogue pitches it for exactly those jobs — holding plated food at banquets and events, and giving a wash-up area a dedicated spot for dirty plates coming off tables, instead of them piling up on the nearest flat surface. One rack, wheeled between the two points as needed, does the work that would otherwise mean multiple stacks of open shelving.
