Why this sidechair earns its place
The Hanoi is a straightforward, good-looking sidechair built for venues that need seating to hold up night after night. The frame is soft oak in tone, and the seat and back are covered in a Shetland smoke patterned fabric — a subtle grey texture that reads as considered rather than budget, without asking a dining room to work around a loud pattern.
Underneath the finish, the chair is rubber wood throughout, a hardwearing timber that's well suited to the knocks and scrapes of a working restaurant or bar floor. It's built as a sidechair rather than an armchair, so it tucks neatly under tables and doesn't eat extra floor space when a room turns over covers quickly.
It arrives fully assembled and is sold in packs of two, so fitting out a dining room is a case of unpacking and placing rather than building. Each chair stands 890mm high, 400mm wide and 430mm deep, with a gross weight of 8kg — solid enough to feel planted, light enough for front-of-house staff to reposition for cleaning or a different table layout without help.
