Why this high bar stool earns its place
The Bristol takes its cue from Parisian bistro seating — shabby-chic, French-inspired lines built around a metal cross-back that nods hard at the retro-industrial look bars and restaurants have been chasing for years. It isn't a pastiche, though: the wood keeps things grounded, so the chair reads as proper furniture rather than a stage prop.
Underneath the styling is a rubberwood and wood build, finished in weathered oak, standing 1180mm tall on a 440 x 440mm footprint. At 10kg it's substantial enough to feel planted at a busy bar without being a pain to reposition during a reset.
The seat is where the comfort lives: a padded fabric pad in bison bordeaux, added specifically to take the edge off what would otherwise be a fairly upright, traditional frame. It softens the silhouette just enough without turning the chair into a lounge piece — guests can perch for a quick pint or settle in for the evening.
