Why this high bar stool earns its place
The Bristol takes its cue from Parisian bistro seating — a French-inspired, shabby-chic shape finished with cross-back styling that leans into the retro-industrial look so many bars and restaurants are chasing right now, while the solid rubber wood frame keeps the piece grounded and traditional rather than gimmicky.
The dark walnut finish is doing a lot of the work here. It's a warm, mid-to-dark tone that sits comfortably against exposed brick, painted panelling, dark bar fronts or lighter Scandi-style flooring, so it earns its place in more than one kind of venue without fighting the rest of the room. The fabric seat softens the silhouette and gives guests something worth sitting on for the length of a meal or a session at the bar.
At 1180mm tall and 440mm wide and deep, it's built to poseur-table and bar height, and at 10kg per chair it's light enough for staff to reposition around a busy floor without a struggle, but still substantial enough not to feel flimsy underfoot. Rubber wood construction is chosen specifically for its strength-to-weight ratio and its resistance to the daily knocks of front-of-house use.
