Why this armchair earns its place
The Meridian is Bolero's answer to the chair that has to earn its keep every single service: comfortable enough that nobody complains after the second course, tough enough to survive a full dining room turning tables on a Friday night. The two-tone look does a lot of the work here — stone blue seat cushions set against a grey back, sitting on a sturdy steel tube frame finished in black powder-coat. It reads as considered rather than cheap, and it'll sit happily in a bistro, a hotel restaurant or a pub dining room without looking like it was bought by the pallet.
Comfort comes from a premium padded seat cushion under a PVC fabric covering, which is the detail that actually matters day to day — spills wipe off in seconds rather than needing a steam clean. The black plastic feet protect whatever floor you've got underneath, whether that's polished concrete, tile or timber. At 773mm tall, 550mm wide and 570mm deep, it sits in proportion with standard restaurant tables without feeling oversized in a tighter dining room.
It's rated to EN16139 Level 1 for safety, strength and durability in non-domestic seating, and to BS7176 for resistance to ignition of upholstered furniture — both marks that matter if you're furnishing a commercial space rather than a spare room. It arrives fully assembled, straight out of the box, sold as a pack of two at a combined gross weight of 11.4kg, so there's no evening lost to flat-pack instructions before opening day.
