Why this dining chair earns its place
There's a familiar problem in dining rooms that want a warm, timber look: real wood needs looking after, scuffs, and doesn't always survive a genuinely busy service. Bolero's Harrowdene side chair solves it by putting a wood-effect finish, in a rich brown "Wood" colourway, onto a steel frame — so the room reads as timber while the chair underneath is built for daily knocks.
That steel construction is doing real work. Bolero build the Harrowdene to resist rust, corrosion and impact, which is exactly what a side chair needs when it's dragged in and out from under a table dozens of times a service. It's rated for indoor use, so it's built for the dining room rather than the terrace — a chair for the main floor, not the beer garden.
Look closer and the detail is in the back: a curved profile with a slatted design gives it a classic silhouette that sits comfortably in a contemporary venue without looking like it's trying too hard. At 750mm high and 537mm wide, with an overall length of 545mm, it's a standard side-chair footprint that pairs easily with most café and restaurant tables, and with a gross weight of 5.9kg per pack of two, it's substantial enough to feel solid under a guest without being a chore to reposition.
