Why this dining chair earns its place
A dining chair for the front of house has a narrower brief than it looks: it has to be comfortable enough for a two-hour sitting, tough enough for nightly service, and it has to actually look right in the room. The GF955 aims squarely at that brief — a birch frame under a faux leather seat, finished in a dark brown that reads as warm and grown-up rather than corporate, at 940mm high, 405mm wide and 500mm deep, with a 510mm seat height that suits a standard dining table.
Faux leather over a birch frame is a deliberate combination for hospitality: it gives you the look and feel of upholstered seating without the maintenance headache of a fabric that stains or a genuine hide that needs conditioning. A wipe is usually all it takes between covers.
It's built to BS7176 Crib 5 — the fire safety standard that contract and commercial furniture has to meet for use in public spaces — so it's specified correctly for a dining room, restaurant or bar rather than a domestic one. And because it arrives fully assembled, there's no build time between the pallet and the table: unpack, set out, done.
