Why this sidechair earns its place
The Marty B is the stacking version in Bolero's Bespoke range, and that's the detail that sets it apart: where a fixed side chair has to live somewhere, this one is built to come down at the end of service and go away. It carries the same smart slatted back as the rest of the range, finished here in a red seat against an oak-toned wood frame — a pairing with enough warmth to suit a proper dining room without reading as fussy.
The frame is solid wood, and the manufacturer is specific that it's structurally suitable for contract use, not just domestic-grade timber pressed into commercial service. The seat pad is faux leather, chosen to give the look and feel of genuine leather without the upkeep — it wipes down fast, which matters when you're resetting tables between covers. Crucially, it's fully CRIB5 fire-retardant to a contract grade, the standard a venue needs to demonstrate for public seating.
At 870mm high on a 440 × 520mm footprint and weighing 8kg, it's light enough to lift and stack without a fight, which is exactly the point of choosing a stacking chair over a fixed one. That combination — sturdy hardwood frame, contract-grade upholstery, genuine stackability — is what makes the Marty B suited to rooms that need to flex, whether that's clearing floor space overnight or freeing up a function room between sittings.
