Where a lot of contract seating goes for a flat, upholstered back, the Marty B does something a little different: a smart slatted wood back in a cream and walnut finish, paired with a padded faux leather seat. It gives the chair a lighter, more open feel around a table without giving up the sturdiness a busy dining room actually needs.
That sturdiness comes from a solid hardwood frame, selected for strength as well as appearance, built to be structurally suitable for contract use rather than just dressed to look like it. The seat pad itself is upholstered in a high-quality faux leather that replicates the look and feel of genuine leather closely enough that guests won't clock the difference — and it's fully CRIB5 fire-retardant to contract grade, so it clears the bar commercial venues are actually held to.
