Why this sidechair earns its place
The Bia A is the side-chair sibling in the Bia line — a classic design in a colour block finish, built on a solid wood frame stained beech, with the seat and back pad upholstered in blue. At 900 × 460 × 530mm and 6kg, it's a touch lighter than the stacking Bia B, but built from the same robust, hand-selected hardwood, structurally suitable for contract use in busy commercial rooms.
What sets the upholstery apart is that it's a high-quality faux leather rather than fabric, so it wipes clean of spills rather than staining, and it's fully CRIB5 fire-retardant to a contract grade — the standard needed for chairs going into any public hospitality space. That combination of hardwood frame and wipe-down seat pad is what lets a chair like this stand up to nightly turnover rather than looking tired after a season.
It's built for indoor use only — a dining room, hotel lounge, bar or office reception, not a chair for outdoor exposure. The frame, the finish and the upholstery are all chosen with that setting in mind: strength and looks in the wood, easy-clean durability in the faux leather. It's also a made-to-order piece, so it's worth confirming colour and quantity before ordering, as it's non-returnable once placed.
