Why this standard height table base earns its place
The KX30 is a table base, not a full table – the part that does the hard work underneath whatever top you fit to it. Cast in iron with a modern 'X' profile, it's built to make swapping out tired or wobbly tables straightforward, whether you're replacing bases one at a time or refitting a whole dining room.
Its standout feature is the PAD – the Patented Actuator Device – a self-stabilising hydraulic mechanism built into the base. On rough or uneven floors, the kind every older building seems to have somewhere, PAD keeps the table sitting flat rather than rocking on one leg. It's designed to re-stabilise automatically whenever the table is moved too, which matters if you're regularly rearranging a floor for different covers or events – each table settles level again on its own, and multiple table tops line up cleanly.
The top plate measures 445mm across and will support table-tops up to 1050mm in size, giving it a wide range of dining table dimensions to work with. At 720mm high and 12kg, it's built to standard table height and substantial enough to give a top real stability once it's fitted.
