Why this bar height table base earns its place
A wobbling bar table is one of the small things that quietly makes a venue look unmanaged, and it's the problem this base is built to remove. At its centre is the PAD — Patented Actuator Device — a self-stabilising hydraulic system that settles the base flat on rough or uneven floor without anyone reaching for a folded beer mat. Move the table, and it automatically restabilises itself, which matters most at bar height, where any lean is exaggerated and every knock gets noticed.
The base itself is cast iron with an angular square footprint, built at 1035mm to bring a top up to standing-bar height. Cast iron gives it the weight and rigidity a tall base needs to stay planted under real use — leant on, knocked past, and used to steady a drink — without the table rocking. At 10.8kg it's substantial but still a one-person lift when setting up or rearranging a floor.
Sizing is straightforward: it will take table tops up to 600mm (24") square or 650mm (26") round, so it suits smaller standing-height tops rather than large sit-down tables. Where a venue is running several of these across a bar or terrace area, the auto-stabilising action also means staff can line multiple tops up level with each other without individually adjusting each base by hand.
