Why this table top earns its place
The HS697 is a 690x690mm square tabletop from Everyday's Extrema range, made in 12mm laminate and finished with a planked vintage wood effect — the look of reclaimed, weathered boards without the seasonal movement, splintering or refinishing that real timber needs outdoors. At 8.28kg gross it's easy for one person to carry and fit, using the Extrema range's EASYFIX system to mount onto a compatible base.
The wood-effect finish gets the same durability as every top in the range: stain resistant, UV resistant and heat resistant, and well beyond a standard laminate top for resisting abrasions and impacts. That matters more, not less, on a planked-wood finish, because real reclaimed timber is exactly the material that would otherwise warp, grey or split under hot plates, spilled drinks and daily wiping down.
That resistance is what puts it on the indoor-and-outdoor list. Genuine wood tabletops are a poor match for direct sun and rain — they need regular oiling or sealing and still move with the weather. This laminate top gets the rustic planked look without any of that maintenance, and the UV and heat resistance means the colour and texture hold up whether it's sat in a beer garden all summer or on the restaurant floor.
