Why this table top earns its place
Vintage wood look, none of the vintage wood upkeep — that's the trade the Extrema tabletop makes. The surface is laminate rather than solid timber, finished in a planked wood-effect brown that reads warm and rustic from across the room, but behaves nothing like real wood under commercial pressure: it's stain resistant, UV resistant and heat resistant, so spilled drinks, sun through a window and a hot plate straight off the pass won't mark it the way timber would.
That resistance carries through to daily handling. Laminate of this kind is built to shrug off the abrasions and impacts that come with heavy commercial turnover — trays going down hard, chairs pulled in and out, cloths dragged across it service after service — and needs very little beyond a wipe-down to keep looking right. At 600x600mm square and 12mm thick, it's sized for a genuine two-to-four cover café table without feeling flimsy at the edge, and comes in at a manageable 6.26kg for moving between storage and floor. It fits the Extrema range's EASYFIX system, so it's built to go straight onto a compatible base rather than needing bespoke fixing.
Because it's rated for indoors and outdoors alike, the same tabletop can do double duty — inside for the main service, outside on the terrace when the weather allows — without needing a second, weather-specific top. Everyday backs it with a 1-year warranty as standard.
