Why this table top earns its place
This is the tabletop half of the equation: a 600x600mm square from the Extrema range, finished in a mixed terrazzo pattern that gives it the speckled, Mediterranean look of real stone without the weight or the price. At 12mm thick it sits solidly on a base without looking clunky, and the square format is the right size for a two-to-four-cover café or bistro table rather than a communal bench.
What makes Extrema worth specifying is what it's made to survive. The laminate surface is stain resistant, UV resistant and heat resistant, and stands up to abrasion and impact well beyond what a painted or veneered top would tolerate — which is exactly the kind of everyday punishment a busy front-of-house table gets from trays, cutlery, sun and rain. It's built for heavy commercial use and needs next to no maintenance to keep looking right: no annual resealing, no re-varnishing, just a wipe-down.
Because it's rated for indoors and outdoors, the same top can go on the terrace in summer and back inside for winter, or simply live outside all year without fading or lifting. It fits to a compatible base via the EASYFIX system, and at 6.26kg it's light enough for staff to lift and reposition without a second pair of hands.
