Why this table top earns its place
The HS701 is a 690mm round tabletop from Everyday's Extrema range, made in 12mm laminate and finished in vintage copper — a warm, aged-metal colourway with an industrial edge, rather than an actual metal surface. At 8.28kg it's light enough for a small front-of-house team to lift onto a base or reposition for a changeover, and it comes with the Extrema range's EASYFIX fitting system, so it goes onto a compatible base without fuss.
What makes Extrema worth specifying over a plain laminate top is what the finish is asked to survive. It's stain resistant, UV resistant and heat resistant, and stands up to abrasions and impacts far better than a standard tabletop — which is exactly the combination a table takes a beating from in daily cover-turning service: hot plates and pans set down straight from the pass, spilled sauces and drinks, cutlery scrapes, and a chair leg catching the edge on a busy Saturday night.
That same resistance is what lets Craven sell it as suitable indoors and outdoors. Sun exposure fades and warps a lot of laminate finishes over a season on a terrace; Extrema is built specifically to resist UV and heat, so a copper-toned top can sit outside on a pavement table as happily as it sits inside on the restaurant floor, without the colour bleaching out or the surface lifting.
