Why this table top earns its place
Replacing a tired tabletop is one of the fastest, cheapest facelifts a café or restaurant floor can get, and this Bolero top is built to make that swap painless. It's a 700 x 700mm square, finished in a flat ash grey melamine that reads as neutral and contemporary against most chair and flooring schemes, and sits at 48mm thick — enough presence to feel solid under a plate and glass without looking bulky.
Underneath the melamine face is a honeycomb and chipboard core rather than solid timber. That construction keeps the top light — a full 11kg gross — while staying flat and resistant to the warping that solid wood tops can suffer under repeated wiping and spills. For a working front-of-house surface that gets cleaned dozens of times a day, that stability matters more than it sounds.
Being pre-drilled is the detail that saves the most hassle on install day: the fixing holes are already in the right place, so it's self-assembly onto your chosen base with no measuring, marking out or drilling required on site. That makes it a genuinely quick job to freshen up an existing run of tables or fit out a new one from scratch, provided you're pairing it with a base rated for the same footprint.
