Why this table top earns its place
The Bolero DT445 is a replacement or new-fit table top for hospitality venues that want marble or terrazzo effect without the cost and heft of solid stone. It's built from high-density woodchip with a melamine top and resin coating—a construction that's been the industry standard for 30 years because it works. The surface is heat-resistant to 180°C, so a hot plate, teapot, or plate straight from the pass won't blister or mark it. That's essential in a café or restaurant where plates arrive hot and guests don't wait whilst things cool.
The marble-effect finish reads as professional on the dining room floor—it's not trying to fake real stone; it's clearly a designed commercial finish. At 600 mm diameter and just 48 mm thick, it's built to sit on a standard table leg assembly, pre-drilled and ready to bolt down. The round shape works better in tight café corners or for intimate seating than square tops, and it's the classic bistro proportion. Eight kilograms makes it easy to lift and reposition without calling for help.
Melamine-topped tops are designed for replacement—if the surface takes damage after years of service, you unbolt the old one and fit a new top without replacing the entire table frame. That keeps costs predictable and extends the lifespan of your furniture investment. It's indoor-use only, so it's not suited to beer gardens, but in a protected café space, it'll survive thousands of covers.
