Why this safe earns its place
Guests want somewhere to leave a laptop, passport or cash without thinking twice about it, and the Bolero hotel laptop safe is built to be that place. It's made from carbon steel in black, sized to take laptops up to 14 inches, and lined with an internal carpet that keeps whatever's inside from getting scratched while it's locked away.
Day-to-day operation is where it earns its keep in a busy housekeeping schedule. A clear LED display and a backlit silicone keypad mean guests can see what they're doing even with the lights down low, and the safe is reprogrammable so each guest can set their own 3-6 digit code for the length of their stay, while staff keep a separate 6-digit master code for oversight. Get the code wrong four times or more and the safe locks out access for five minutes, which does a decent job of deterring anyone trying to guess their way in. If a guest still manages to lock themselves out, or the batteries give up entirely, an override mechanical key is included as a fallback, and a USB port lets you power the unit externally when needed. A low battery warning gives fair notice before that becomes a problem — the unit itself runs on four AA 1.5V batteries, not included.
Fitting it is straightforward: pre-drilled mounting holes on the back and bottom mean it can go into a wardrobe, cupboard or fixed position without on-site drilling, and the door opens left to right for easy access once it's in. At 420mm long and 10kg, it's a substantial, properly weighted unit rather than a token gesture at security — the kind of fitting that tells a guest a hotel has thought about the details.
