Why this standard height table base earns its place
A table is only as good as what's holding it up, and that's the whole case for this base. Bolero has cast it in solid iron rather than pressed or welded steel, which is why the gross weight comes in at 17.8kg — most of that sitting low, in the foot, where it does the most good. Push a table on a spindly base and it rocks; push one on this and it doesn't. That matters more than people think in a room full of trade tables taking knocks, elbows and the odd dropped tray.
The finish is white, which keeps the base light and unobtrusive under whatever top you pair it with — it reads as fittings rather than furniture, which is exactly what a base should do. At 728mm to the underside of the top-plate, it's built to standard table height, so it'll sit correctly with any conventional round or square top sized to match.
Rated for indoors and outdoors, it moves as easily onto a terrace or beer garden table as it does inside a dining room, without needing a separate outdoor-only spec. It arrives as self-assembly — a straightforward bolt-together job, not a job for a joiner — so it's up and in service quickly once it's unboxed.
