Why this parasol earns its place
A straightforward outdoor parasol: 2.5m across, 2.37m to the top of the canopy, with a solid wood frame and a red polyester canopy. It's built to do one job well — shade customers seated underneath it — and Bolero have kept the mechanism simple, so opening and closing it between services or at the end of the day doesn't need two members of staff or a fight with a stuck ratchet.
The canopy footprint is generous enough to cover a table and its chairs properly rather than just the tabletop, which matters once the sun's low and shade angle changes through the afternoon. At 6.5kg gross for the frame and canopy, it's light enough to move between tables or bring in for the winter without strain.
It's an outdoor piece through and through — Bolero don't rate it for indoor use — and like any freestanding parasol of this size it needs proper anchoring to stand up to wind. Bolero sell a heavy weighted base separately for exactly that reason, so budget for one alongside the parasol rather than assuming a lightweight stand will do the job.
