Why this product earns its place
Bolero's Valletta range is built for the kind of outdoor space that has to work as hard as the dining room indoors, and this grey slatted extendable table is the anchor piece of it. It's made from high-density polyethylene with a slatted, wood-effect resin top — the kind of finish that gives a terrace or beer garden the warmth of timber without any of timber's outdoor maintenance headaches.
That resin top is doing real work. It's resistant to scratches, stains and UV fading, so sun-loungers of tables that bleach or dull after a season outside aren't a concern here, and it wipes down fast between covers. It'll also take hot plates up to 60°C directly on the surface, which matters the moment al fresco service moves from drinks to food — no side table needed for the serving dish.
The extending mechanism is the other half of the story. Closed, it's a standard rectangular table; pulled out, it locks securely into place and opens up seating for up to ten guests, with an equally secure lock in the non-extended position so it never creeps mid-service. At 1800mm long, 895mm wide and 774mm high, and weighing 26.2kg, it's substantial enough to stay put in a breeze but still manageable for two people to reposition. It arrives flat-packed and needs only minimal assembly to get it into service.
