Why this table top earns its place
This is a tabletop built to do one job very well: sit at 700mm square, look sharp, and take whatever a busy service throws at it. The surface is tempered glass finished in a dark granite effect with a white trim edge, which reads as considerably more contemporary than a plain laminate top without tipping into anything precious — it's designed for a working bistro or café floor, not a display case.
Tempered glass earns its keep here. The granite-effect finish is stain and scratch resistant, so spills, cutlery and the daily wipe-down don't dull it the way a softer surface would, and the flat glass face has no dirt traps to work into — one pass with a cloth between covers and it's ready for the next cover. At 700 × 700mm, it suits a table for two or a compact two-top squeezed into a corner where every centimetre of floor counts.
It arrives pre-drilled, with fixings included, so fitting it to a table base is a straightforward job rather than a workshop project, and at 7.8kg gross it's a manageable single-person lift onto a base. It's rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so the same top works on a covered terrace as well as it does inside.
