Why this dining chair earns its place
Rattan-look furniture solves a specific problem for outdoor bars and gastropub gardens: guests want the relaxed, woven look of rattan, but real cane furniture doesn't survive a British summer, let alone a British winter. Bolero's Parisian side chair gets round it with a PE wicker weave over an aluminium frame — the chevron-print rattan look stays, the weather vulnerability doesn't.
That aluminium and PE wicker build is rated for indoors and outdoors, so it can live on the terrace through the rain and come inside for a private function without missing a beat. PE wicker is a synthetic weave, which is what lets it keep its as-new look outdoors where real rattan would grey and split; the aluminium frame underneath keeps the whole chair light without sacrificing the strength a side chair needs in daily use. Foot plugs on the base protect flooring when it's used indoors, so the same pack works a mixed indoor and outdoor floor plan without marking either surface.
At 890mm high, 564mm wide and 490mm in length, with a gross weight of 3.6kg, it's a genuinely light chair — light enough that stacking it isn't a two-person job. And stack it does: the Parisian is designed to be stackable, so a run of chairs collapses down to a fraction of its floor footprint at closing time, which matters as much in a small gastropub garden as it does in a beer garden with dozens of covers to clear.
