Why this armchair earns its place
The Florence pairs a robust aluminium tube frame with a natural rope twist wrap, so it reads like woven wicker but weighs and handles like garden aluminium — at a gross weight of around 4kg it's genuinely light in the hand, which matters more than it sounds once you're carrying a stack of them from a store cupboard to a terrace and back every day. Standing 750mm high and 610mm wide, it's a proper armchair rather than a slimline side chair, with room to sit into rather than perch on.
Aluminium is the whole point of the build. It won't rust, it wipes clean, and it's light enough to move fast when a service or a setup changes — Bolero designed the Florence specifically so staff can shift covers between the two without it becoming a two-person job. The legs are fitted with black plastic feet, which keep it from scoring floors or decking as it gets dragged in and out through a busy shift.
It's rated for indoors and outdoors, so it doesn't have to live permanently on the terrace or permanently inside — the same chair covers a summer beer garden and a winter function room. And because it's genuinely stackable, storing a full set away at the end of a season, or overnight, doesn't eat the amount of space a bulkier frame would.
