Why this high bar stool earns its place
Colour is doing a lot of the work here. Most high stools that come through a commercial kitchen are black or steel-grey by default, so an olive green frame stands out the moment it's in position — a fast way to lift a bar, terrace or bistro corner without touching the walls or the menu. Bolero's put it on a proper steel frame with a powder-coated finish, so the colour isn't a coating that'll chip and reveal grey metal after a season of service; it's built to take knocks at height, where stools get dragged, spun and leant on more than almost any other seat in the room.
At 770mm high and 425mm wide, it's sized for poseur tables and bar-height counters rather than standard dining height, and the built-in footrest means guests aren't left dangling — a detail that matters more than people expect once a stool's in daily use. The seat and frame are both metal, which keeps the whole thing wipeable: a cloth and a standard kitchen cleaner is all it takes between covers, and there's nothing upholstered to stain or need replacing.
Rated for indoors and outdoors, it'll sit happily on a covered terrace through the summer or hold its place at an internal bar all year — Bolero has fitted anti-slip, non-marking feet so it stays put on a wet patio without chewing up a polished floor if it's brought back in. Each stool weighs 5.2kg, light enough to move around for a changeover but stable underfoot once it's positioned, and every stool in the pack of four stacks, so a stack of four takes a fraction of the floor space of four stools stood out — useful at close-down or when a room needs to flex between service styles.
