Why this dining chair earns its place
There's a warmth to real wood that powder-coated steel can't quite match, and the GK997 leans into it — an aluminium frame carrying an ash wood seat and back, giving you the traditional bistro look without the upkeep that solid timber furniture usually demands. It's built for exactly the kind of spot Bolero designed it for: pavement cafés, terraces and patios where chairs live outdoors through service after service.
The aluminium frame is the workhorse here — strong, weather-resistant and rust-proof, so it isn't going to let you down after a wet season outside. The ash seat brings the character back into what would otherwise be a purely functional metal chair, and it's finished to stand up to daily outdoor use rather than needing careful indoor storage. For upkeep, Bolero recommend DL476 Teak Oil to keep the timber looking its best over time.
They're stackable, which makes clearing a terrace at closing time or storing them over a quiet spell straightforward, and they arrive fully assembled — no build required before they go into service. Each pack of four has a gross weight of just 2.95kg, so they're easy to carry and reposition, and they're rated for both indoor and outdoor use if you want the same chairs to double up inside during colder months.
