Why this ducting earns its place
Saddle pieces solve a real problem in extraction design: you need a branch line from a secondary hood or zone, but cutting into the main duct to fit a T-piece creates weak points and isn't always practical—especially when the main run is already installed. A saddle piece clamps onto the outside of the duct and uses an internal connection to tap into the main airflow, so you keep the main run continuous and pressure-stable.
This 450mm saddle is designed for larger extraction runs feeding multiple appliances or zones. The 45° angle allows you to branch off at a useful slope, making it simple to route the secondary duct down and away from the main run without excessive bending. It's a cleaner solution than routing the branch around obstacles, and it's much quicker to fit—no need to cut, seal, and reinforce sections of main duct.
Saddle pieces are reliable in high-volume kitchens where steady pressure and consistent airflow matter. The junction is sealed and formed to prevent eddies and dead zones where grease accumulates.
