Why this canopy filters & spare part earns its place
The Combisteel 40/40 SS CONSOLE 775 is a filter element, not a complete canopy—it's the core part you replace when your existing extraction canopy's filter becomes clogged with grease. At 775 mm square and 1.2 kg, it fits standard 40/40-class Combisteel canopies, which are common in UK commercial kitchens.
These filters catch airborne grease and particulate before they escape into the kitchen or ductwork. Over time (typically weeks in a busy kitchen, months in a slower one), the mesh clogs with cooking fumes and oil—reducing airflow and causing the kitchen to get hazy and hot. Replacement is straightforward: slide the old filter out, drop the new one in, and you're done. No tools, no engineer call-out.
At 1.2 kg, it's light enough to swap during a quick cleaning cycle between services. The stainless-steel construction resists the caustic kitchen cleaning solutions you'll use—bleach, degreasers, pressure washers—without degrading. Buy spares in bulk so you're never caught mid-service waiting for a replacement to arrive.
