Why this funnel earns its place
The piston funnel solves a real problem: controlling the dispensing of sauces, creams, hollandaise or other liquids when precision and speed matter. The 1.3-litre capacity means you're filling large batches in a single load—no constant refilling—and the 7.5mm nozzle gives you control fine enough for plating, but wide enough that you're not waiting for thick sauces to pour.
How it works: you fill the funnel, rest it on the supplied stand, and use the piston to push down. This gives you complete control over flow rate and portion size. Unlike a standard pouring lip, where the user has to angle and control the stream, the piston method is consistent. Your commis plating at dinner service can dispense the same amount to the same position every time, which matters when consistency is part of your brand.
The stainless steel body won't react with acidic or fatty foods—important when you're dispensing sauces with vinegar or cream with salt. The 7.5mm nozzle is sized for sauces and creams but not so fine that you're waiting for thick purées. At 210mm tall and 135mm diameter, it's large enough to be stable on a plate when you're working, but compact enough to store easily. The supplied stand makes hands-free operation possible: fill it, set it down, and plate without holding.
