THE WORKING VIEW

Why this product earns its place

A variable-speed blender designed for kitchens that need flexibility within a compact footprint. The 300W motor adjusts from 1,500 to 15,000 rpm, letting you start slow (for gentle folding, emulsifying, or suspending particles) and ramp up when you need rapid breakdown. That range makes it useful for both delicate work and high-speed blending in the same service.

The stainless steel arm is 300 mm—slightly shorter than the XM-31—and suits containers from 5 to 15 litres. The quick-locking detachable arm lets you strip it between tasks, and the tri-blade assembly is made of tempered steel for reliable daily work. The Life Plus motor handles continuous use, so you can keep it running through service without resting it.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The XM-22 lets you dial in any speed between 1,500 and 15,000 rpm. Start slow for gentle work—emulsifying a vinaigrette, suspending solids in a sauce—then push to maximum for rapid breakdown. Fixed-speed blenders run one speed only, useful if you always blend the same way.

No. The XM-22 is rated for 15 litres maximum; pushing it larger means uneven blending and strain on the motor. If you regularly need 20+ litre batches, step up to the XM-31.

It's rated for continuous use, so you can run it at full 15,000 rpm continuously during service. If you're blending very dense or hot material, let it cool for 30 seconds between batches—the motor is tough but thermal headroom matters on tight schedules.

Start at 3,000–5,000 rpm for emulsions (vinaigrettes, hollandaise, beurre blanc). Go to 8,000–12,000 rpm for purées and soups. Maximum 15,000 rpm for rapid incorporation when you need pure speed—smoothies, cocktails, rapid mixing.

Yes, if your prep work mixes gentle and aggressive blending. If you mainly do soups and sauces at full tilt, fixed speed is simpler. If you do both delicate emulsions and rapid batching, variable speed saves you buying two machines.

Detach it between uses, rinse in hot water, and dry. The quick lock means no hidden crevices trap food. You can soak it in a clean bain-marie or deli pot between services.
