THE WORKING VIEW

Why this stick blender earns its place

The Robot Coupe CMP300 is the workhorse of the compact range. In an all-stainless steel body weighing 3.9 kg, it's designed to stand up to the pace of a busy kitchen — back-to-back soups, reductions, emulsions, and purées without fatigue or loss of precision. The 90 mm width keeps it out of the way on the counter or hung on its supplied stainless steel wall rack, yet it has the reach and power to handle full stockpots without strain.

What sets it apart is the self-regulating speed system: as you apply pressure, the motor adjusts automatically to maintain smooth blending. There's no guesswork, no dial-twisting mid-shift. Whether you're emulsifying a beurre blanc or breaking down tomorrow's vegetable scraps into stock base, you get the same clean result every time. The patented removable foot and blade system takes apart in seconds — crucial when you're moving from one product to another under tight food-safety protocols. Knife, bell, disc and tube blades arrive with the unit, covering purées, emulsions, breadcrumbs and light grinding all in one tool.

The stainless steel construction isn't just corrosion resistance; it's also a signal to your team that this is built for daily, heavy use. Rinse it, hang it, use it again tomorrow. At 230V with a plug connection, it needs no special installation — any standard kitchen outlet works. Service and support are straightforward: a year's parts and labour warranty covers defects, and Craven Cooling's team on 01792 732702 can sort urgent repairs quickly.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

A fixed blender runs the same regardless of what you're blending — it struggles with thick mixtures and splashes with thin ones. The CMP300's motor reads the load and adjusts automatically. Thick purée? More power. Hot stock? Smooth, controlled blending. It means better results with less technique variation between whoever's using it.

At 90 mm width and 3.9 kg, it's genuinely small enough to fit into a prep station or hang on a wall rack above a sink or pass station. It's not a hand blender (you can't carry it around mid-service), but it's not a floor-standing robot either. If you're working in a London restaurant with 3 square metres of pass space, this is the tool that fits.

For normal use — daily blending, rinsed after each shift — servicing annually is sufficient. Craven Cooling can arrange this on 01792 732702. Most maintenance is preventative: check the removable foot seal isn't degraded, and ensure the blade edges are still sharp. If used continuously (8+ hours daily), twice-yearly servicing extends the lifespan.

The blades can be professionally sharpened, but in a busy kitchen it's usually quicker to keep a spare set on hand. Blades are inexpensive and last 12–18 months with daily use. Craven Cooling can supply replacements and can arrange sharpening if you prefer.

The CMP300 isn't designed for continuous runtime without breaks. If you're making hundreds of litres of soup, you'd be better served by a floor-standing robot or batch blender. For the kinds of prep work a commercial kitchen does — finishing sauces, batch-blending vegetables, making stock-based purées — run times of 5–15 minutes are normal, and the motor is sized for that pattern.

The patented removable foot design includes a seal that keeps moisture out of the motor housing. That said, never submerge the handle or run it through a dishwasher. Rinse the blade assembly hot, wipe the handle dry, and it'll be fine. The stainless steel exterior resists rust, but the interior electrics need to stay dry — that's why the sealed foot design matters.
