THE WORKING VIEW

Why this kitchen blender earns its place

The X-Prep MX1200 is the precision choice when you need to control texture, not just speed. Variable-speed control lets you run anywhere from a slow pour-and-mix through to full-power blending, and the pulse function gives you fine texture control—chunky or silky, your call. The 2-litre capacity handles batch soups, sauces and spreads, and the innovative Raptor jug is designed specifically for smooth, consistent results without the hot-spot blending or uneven mixing that cheaper designs produce.

The engineering here matters. Stainless-steel and plastic construction survives continuous kitchen work, and at 457 mm tall and under 8 kg, the machine fits tight in prep areas without commandeering counter space. The vinyl lid with feed cap is built for hot blending—pour warm soup base in, adjust speed, and the sealed design keeps steam and splashes contained. When you're working through gallons of soup stock or batch-grinding spreads, this level of control beats all-or-nothing machines.

You're buying repeatability. Every batch blends the same because you've dialled in the speed and pulse rhythm, not just hoping the motor power works out right. The machine ships with two jugs: the primary Raptor jug stays mounted while the bonus 2-litre stainless-steel jar lets prep staff batch vegetables or grind spreads separately. The 230V 1500W connection integrates with any kitchen power, and one-year parts-and-labour warranty from Waring covers both motor and mechanical issues.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The Raptor jug is Waring's precision design—shaped to move blended ingredients smoothly without dead zones where chunks hide. You get silky soups and even-textured sauces without extra hand work or sieving. The result is noticeably better consistency batch to batch, which matters when you're plating soup or portioning spread.

Yes. The vinyl lid with feed cap is specifically built for hot blending. The sealed design contains steam and splashing, and you can pour soup that's just come off heat directly into the jug. Start slowly if the soup is very hot (just to be safe), but stainless steel handles temperature swings without stress.

Variable speed is your continuous control—adjust the motor from slow pour-mix up to full power, and hold that setting. Pulse is on-off control—press and release to create a rhythm, getting texture you can't achieve on continuous speed. Use pulse for chunky salsa or rough spreads; use variable speed for silky soup. Or combine them: variable speed to break everything down, then pulse at the end to get texture back.

A 2-litre pot of hot soup takes 60–90 seconds on full speed, depending on vegetable size and how fine you want it. Sauces blend faster. If you're doing multiple batches, the extra stainless-steel jug lets prep staff get the next batch ready while the Raptor jug runs.

Stick to soft goods and liquids. Whole ice cubes will work but aren't ideal—break them smaller first. This is a kitchen blender, not a bar machine, so the motor and speed range are tuned for soups, sauces and spreads, not frozen cocktails. Hard ingredients like dry grains or whole nuts are outside its design.

Daily cleaning is just warm water and detergent inside the jug while it runs, then a rinse and dry. Beyond that, call Craven Cooling on 01792 732702 for anything that doesn't seem right—stuck speeds, unusual noise, or if the seal starts to weep. The one-year warranty covers parts and labour.
