Why this meat slicer earns its place
The Buffalo CD279 is a heavy-duty meat slicer with a 300 mm blade, built for large volumes of cooked and cold meats. Its anodised aluminium body is finished in silver and the machine measures 585 x 500 x 450 mm, so it has the size and presence expected from a proper prep-room slicer.
The food carriage is mounted on ball bearings to give a smooth gliding action, which helps the operator work steadily through repeated slicing jobs. Thickness is controlled manually with a side dial, so the cut can be set to suit the product being prepared.
It runs from a standard 230 V plug connection and has a rated input of 180 W. At 26 kg gross weight, it is a substantial countertop machine rather than a lightweight portable slicer, and the 2-year parts and labour warranty plus extended on-site parts and labour cover give it a clear support package.
