Why this salamander grill earns its place
The Parry US9 is a production workhorse for service counters that need to finish plates fast. Wall-mounted and natural-gas powered, it delivers intense radiant heat from above—ideal for melting cheese, browning sauce, toasting garnish, grilling small portions, or reheating small plates without tying up oven space. Its individually controlled dual zones mean you can run different temperatures on left and right, letting you grill on one side while finishing a delicate plate on the other.
Automatic ignition gets you to heat in seconds—no pilot light to manage, just turn the dial and fire. The thermostatic control holds temperature steady across both zones so you're not chasing heat drift through service. At 560mm wide and wall-mounted, it takes almost no counter footprint; the 700mm mounting height puts the cooking surface at comfortable reach for most operators.
The unit runs on natural gas supplied via the main kitchen supply line. Unlike bottled LPG, continuous piped gas means you never run out mid-service and don't have bottle changeovers. A certified gas engineer will connect the supply and ensure the flue path meets code—this is a professional installation, not a retrofit.
