Why this salamander grill earns its place
The Pizzachef is purpose-built for pizza-forward operations—pizzerias, pizza counters, and casual dining venues where the grill is part of the front-of-house theatre. Six clip-in quartz infrared elements (three upper, three lower) deliver the high, even heat that finishes both traditional and American-style pizzas without overcooking the base. Quartz infrared is the choice of professional kitchens because it radiates heat directly and recovers instantly between loads; you don't wait for elements to reheat between services. The infrared elements give off a warm, attractive glow visible to diners—a design detail that turns the cooking into atmosphere.
The capacity is 552 mm deep and can hold one 9-inch pizza or two 7-inch pizzas simultaneously. Upper and lower elements work independently, so you can use bottom heat for warming or both elements for rapid finishing. The fully automatic timer removes inconsistency; your team sets the dial and heat cuts when time's up, protecting product and giving a clear signal to the pass. At full capacity, you're looking at 28 nine-inch pizzas per hour, plus the ability to run toasted sandwiches, garlic bread and gratins on the same surface.
The vitreous enamel exterior finish is durable and wipeable—more forgiving than stainless steel if you're working in a busy pass environment, and it maintains the same warm silver appearance. At 230V 3000W, installation is straightforward for most venues. The six quartz elements are user-replaceable, so maintenance is a matter of swapping clip-in components rather than calling for specialist repair.
