Why this countertop chargrill earns its place
Built for professional catering, the OG8401/N uses infra-red ceramic plaque burners to deliver intense direct heat. Lincat says that design gives hotter temperatures with less power than conventional gas burners, so the grill reaches working heat quickly and keeps control in the chef's hands.
This is a countertop unit with a stainless steel build and a silver finish, measuring 653 x 600 x 806 mm and weighing 80.5 kg gross. It runs on natural gas with a rated input of 13,800 W, and the output per hour is listed at 13.8 kW.
The Opus format also gives useful control in quieter periods. Individual burners can be switched off when they are not needed, then brought back on for the next rush, which helps limit wasted energy. It is supplied with a free branding grid scraper and cleaning spatula, and it carries a 2 Years Parts & Labour warranty.
