Why this contact grill earns its place
The Lincat Lynx 400 contact grill is the equipment that earns its bench space. Both plates heat independently — upper plate at 1 kW, lower plate at 1.25 kW — which means steaks get a hot sear without the flipped-twice routine. Drop a burger on, count four minutes, remove it perfectly cooked on both sides. The asymmetrical heating is deliberate: lower plate finishes the bottom while the upper plate seals and cooks the top in the same stroke.
Temperature climbs from +40 to +260 °C, which covers everything from gentle warming of pre-cooked items through to a proper steak sear. The ribbed cooking surfaces push contact deeper — more crust, more flavour, better hold on delicate items like toasted sourdough without sticking.
Stainless steel and aluminium body shrugs off the heat and grease splatter. 395 mm width means it fits the breakfast pass or the main kitchen line without dominating the counter. Weigh in at 23.1 kg, so it's heavy enough to stay planted when you're pressing down, but light enough to reposition if service patterns shift.
