Why this high speed oven earns its place
The Merrychef Eikon E5 is a cool-to-touch high-speed oven with combi-microwave mode, aimed at kitchens that need to move quickly without giving up control. Merrychef states that it can reduce cooking time by up to 4 times compared with conventional ovens.
This model is built around a larger working chamber than the E3, with a 45.9 litre capacity and 2/3 GN compatibility. That makes it a practical choice when you want the speed of a high-speed oven but need a bit more room for service. The stainless steel construction, stainless steel exterior finish and silver colour keep it in the hard-working professional bracket.
As with the rest of the range, it includes menu software that can be updated instantly using USB, energy saving standby and in-built diagnostics to avoid unnecessary service calls. Catalyst technology is used for grease elimination and odour reduction, and Merrychef says that means there is no need for separate extraction and ventilation systems.
