Why this boiling table earns its place
The Chieftain Single Bullseye is a purpose-built boiling table for kitchens that live on stockpots, roux bases, and slow-building sauces. The cast iron solid top doesn't have open rings — instead, you get a continuous heated surface with a bullseye zone of intense heat at the centre. That means you can work a pot at a gentle simmer on one side while keeping something else warm at the edge, all on the same burner. It's the kind of thermal precision that stops a sauce breaking or a consommé clouding over.
At 9.6 kW, the bullseye hits hard when it matters — boiling stockpots, blanching vegetables at volume — but the solid top design also means you can dial it back to nothing. No stepping between burner rings at different temperatures; you position the pot where you need the heat. The cast iron doesn't scorch pans the way a bare ring can, and it radiates heat evenly without cold spots.
Underneath is a proper shelf for storing your heavy gear — stockpots, hotel pans, prep containers — so your work station doesn't sprawl across the kitchen. The unit rolls on castors, so repositioning between services or fitting it into tight corners is straightforward. Everything's finished in robust stainless steel, 159 kg of solid commercial equipment built to take daily punishment. It connects to mains natural gas on standard fittings and 230V or 400V electric for the controls.
