Why this free standing fryer earns its place

The Parry Free Standing Electric Fryer is built around one straightforward idea: twin tanks mean two independent baskets, so you can cook two batches simultaneously or cycle different items without contaminating oil. Each tank holds 9 litres. That dual capacity, combined with the heating elements sized for rapid recovery, is why chip shops and busy takeaways choose this unit.

The twin design is actually clever. Electrical input goes to both tanks, so heat recovery from the elements is brisk—typically 90–120 seconds between batches, depending on what you're frying and how loaded the baskets are. You can keep chips moving through one tank while the other is recovering, or run two different products side by side if your menu demands it. The thermostat holds temperature at 200 °C, and cleaning is straightforward: switch off, allow the oil to cool, open the safety drain valve at the base, and drain into a bucket. Raise the elements clear of the pan and wipe clean.

It stands 1065 mm tall and 300 mm wide—compact enough to fit against a prep line but with enough depth (600 mm) to sit securely on a standard work counter. The stainless steel body takes the daily knocks of a working kitchen. It runs on 2000 W single-phase supply via a standard plug, so no three-phase complication. Two years' parts and labour warranty from Parry covers the unit.

Questions, answered straight

Two tanks of 9 litres each (18 litres total). Each tank can output around 42 kg per hour depending on product size and how you load the basket. In practice, that's roughly 6–8 portions of chips per basket, or fish-and-chips multiples. Two baskets means you can cycle different products or batch quickly.

Recovery is typically 90–120 seconds between cycles, depending on what you've fried and the ambient temperature. The electric elements are sized to maintain heat even under load, so you don't get the slow recovery you'd see in an undersized unit.

Yes. It's 2000 W on single-phase, so it connects to any kitchen power point—no three-phase requirement, no installation cost.

Switch off and allow the oil to cool for safety. Open the safety drain valve at the base of each tank and let the oil drain into a bucket. Once cool enough to handle, raise the heating elements clear of the pan interior and wipe the base clean. This takes 10–15 minutes and should be done daily or between oil changes.

That depends on what you're frying, temperature and filtration. A busy chip shop might change oil every 4–7 days; lower-volume use can go 2–3 weeks. Daily filtration (pouring through a sieve or using a fryer filter) extends oil life significantly.
