Product description

Powerful and reliable, the Buffalo 600 Series freestanding fryer is a great choice for everyday use in busy professional kitchens. With its generous 8 litre capacity and 6kW element, the fryer provides plenty of performance for cooking perfectly crispy chips, chicken and seafood, whether that’s in a restaurant, pub kitchen or canteen.

With its single strong basket, the Buffalo 600 Series fryer provides a generous amount of frying space, so you can cook larger items without having to remove the basket. And thanks to the powerful element, recovery times are reduced too, allowing you to quickly turn around dishes without having to wait extended periods for the oil to return to the correct temperature.

Below, the fryer include vital additional storage space. As the fryer features a front drain tap, not only does this mean it’s easy to drain oil, it also opens up the base to be fully usable – no fryer components are in the cupboard section. Perfect for storing away utensils or pots. The Buffalo 600 Series fryer is easier to clean too, with strong stainless steel construction throughout and simple hinged elements which maximise access to the tank.

Part of the Buffalo 600 Series, this electric fryer is designed to suite with other 600 Series appliances, giving you a tidy, seamless cook line whatever the size of your kitchen.

Why this free standing fryer earns its place

Not every kitchen needs a double fryer, and forcing one into a compact setup wastes bench space and energy. The Buffalo 600 Series single fryer gives you genuine frying capacity—8 litres, capable temperature control (60–190°C), and a 6kW element that recovers fast—in a footprint that fits smaller prep areas, kebab shops, small cafés and pub kitchens doing occasional frying rather than volume.

The 8-litre tank holds enough for a good basket of chips or a batch of chicken; the 6kW element brings oil back to temperature quickly, so you can turn dishes without the frustration of sluggish recovery. A single strong basket lets you fry larger items in one go without fishing out the basket mid-service. The front drain tap empties oil safely and cleanly, and because the base cupboard is fully open (no element internals taking up space), you get real storage below for utensils, oil containers or prep bowls—a genuine practical addition rather than dead weight.

Stainless steel construction throughout means it cleans easily and resists the splashing and spatter that defines a busy pass. Hinged elements give you full access to the tank for scrubbing. At 850×400×600mm, it's noticeably more compact than a double unit, yet still sturdy and professional enough for daily service in a working kitchen.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

The tank holds 8 litres. Commercial oil life varies by use—frying chips is gentler than heavy battering—and by how often you filter. Most kitchens filter daily and change oil every 1–2 weeks under normal load. For specific guidance on your setup, call Craven Cooling on 01792

The element is sized for 8-litre capacity and reaches full temperature quickly. Busy services are sustainable if you're managing one basket at a time (the standard workflow); if you need continuous parallel frying across two tanks, a double fryer is the right choice.

It's a fully accessible open shelf—no fryer components underneath (the drain is front-mounted), so you can store oil containers, pans, cleaning gear or prep items underneath. This saves you buying separate storage.

No. The Buffalo 600 Series single and double are separate units. If your business scales, you'd add a second fryer alongside this one rather than upgrading the unit itself.

The fryer runs on 400V three-phase at 6,000W. You'll need a suitable three-phase supply and circuit capacity. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The basket is strong stainless steel and simple to scrub. It lifts out completely, so you can soak and clean it separately from the tank during service or at end-of-day.
