Why this bains marie earns its place
The Buffalo bain marie is purpose-built for hot-holding service essentials. Whether it's soup, gravy, baked beans, or hot toppings, gentle wet heat ensures contents stay at the perfect serving temperature throughout a shift. The two supplied stainless steel pots are each 5.2 litres, giving you real capacity for a full service without constant pot swaps. That's 21 litres total holding volume — enough for most kitchen operations from cafés through to busy contract catering venues.
The temperature control is straightforward: a front-mounted dial lets you adjust water temperature between +30 and +90°C. The notched lids are a practical detail — they hold in heat and moisture while allowing you to keep a ladle in place and ready for service. If one pot empties during a rush, swapping it out takes seconds; additional pots are available separately if you need more capacity or backups.
Build quality is no-nonsense. The unit is stainless steel throughout, dimensioned 645 mm wide × 432 mm deep × 327 mm high, and weighs just 10.8 kg. The footprint is compact enough for most pass arrangements without hogging space. Cleaning is straightforward — the pots themselves can go into a dishwasher or utensil washer if needed, and the well itself wipes clean quickly. It runs on standard 220–240V mains plug (1200W), so any kitchen outlet works.
