Why this single door upright fridge earns its place
The SD1280 is a single-door upright refrigerator built to give reliable commercial cold storage from a narrow footprint. At just 595 mm wide, it slots into tight galley kitchens, bar backs and prep corners where floor space is scarce, standing 1635 mm tall to make full use of vertical height. A solid hinged door keeps the interior out of sight and holds temperature better than a glass door in a busy service area.
Inside, four white wire shelves adjust to organise stock across an internal space of 470 × 440 × 1347 mm. A mechanical controller keeps operation simple with a dial rather than a programmable panel, which is quick for any team member to set and hard to knock out of range. It carries climate class 4, suiting a typical working kitchen environment.
The cabinet measures 595 × 640 × 1635 mm externally and weighs 65 kg, so it routes through a standard single doorway without a wide-load problem. It plugs into a standard 13 A socket on a 220–240 V supply and uses R600a hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 70 g charge. It carries an energy class of D and draws about 620.5 kWh a year — roughly £155 a year at 25p/kWh.
