Why this upright fridge freezer earns its place
The Polar U-Series UA025 combines chilled and frozen storage in a single cabinet, aimed squarely at commercial kitchens that don't have room for two separate upright units. The fridge section holds a generous 165 litres over two adjustable shelves and a base level, while the freezer section holds 153 litres, also over two shelves plus a floor protector. Both sections are gastronorm compatible, so full-size 1/1 GN pans can be moved directly between the fridge and freezer sides, or slotted straight onto the adjustable shelf runners, without switching containers.
Running temperature spans -22°C to +8°C across the combined cabinet, held by powerful forced air cooling drawing 600W on a 220-240V supply. That cooling keeps performance consistent even with the doors opened frequently, and the whole unit is built to hold its temperature reliably in ambient kitchens up to 40°C. Because both fridge and freezer run from one 600W connection, the whole cabinet needs only a single 13A plug — one less circuit to plan for when specifying a kitchen fit-out.
Construction is stainless steel throughout with removable door seals for easier cleaning, and both doors are self-closing and lockable, protecting stock security as well as cutting the running costs that come from cold air escaping. Full-length easy-grab handles and lockable castors make positioning for cleaning or maintenance straightforward. At 150kg gross weight, it sits across five adjustable, anti-tilt shelves in total, giving flexibility in how the two temperature zones are configured.
